It started operating in 1981. The Centre for Education was founded by this university in 2006. It attempts to enlighten interested parties who are located far from Tamil Nadu about the Tamil language and culture. It is situated in Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur. Admission for distance learning at Tamil University?
After the January 2020 semester, Tamil University will no longer offer any distance learning programs with UGC approval. However, it provided 16 UG and PG degrees via distant education up till January 2020. That was also offered in a number of specializations.
At TU, courses leading to a diploma and a post-graduate diploma are also offered. Without an admissions test, students are directly chosen for courses based on their qualities. The offline application process is available to students, who can use it to obtain forms from the university and return them to Tamil University’s administrative office.
For admission to the B.Ed. and PG diploma programs, as well as the PG courses, merit selection requires a graduate degree. A minimum score of 50% is required in every situation, however higher scores are desired.
Candidates who wish to enroll in the diploma program must obtain at least an HSC or a comparable qualification.
A payment of INR 250 will be made at any Bank of India branch in the name of Tamil University.

Students must complete their higher secondary education from an accredited institution in order to be admitted to a UG program.
Students must have earned a graduating or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution to be admitted to a graduate program.
