Update on HPU Distance Education
The special counselling schedule for BEd admission 2022–23, starting in February 2023, was published by ICDEOL at Himachal Pradesh University, and the counselling date was April 11, 2023.

The Himachal Pradesh University was founded in 1970. After one year of operation, the university established the International Centre for Distance Education and Open Learning (ICDEOL). The HPU compound at Summer Hill, Shimla, is where you can find ICDEOL.

Admission to HPU Distance Education 2023–24
Admission to the UG/PG programs provided by HPU ICDEOL is solely determined by performance on the entrance exam and merit. Visit the official website to complete the admission form if you’re interested in applying for admission to the HPU via distant learning.
A candidate must possess a 12th board certificate in order to apply for admission to undergraduate programs.
In a similar vein, candidates applying for admission to PG programs must have a UG degree with at least 45–50% marks.
BEd, B.PEd, BHMS, BCA, BBA, BJMC, BA LLB, BHM, BCom, BA, and BSc are a few examples of available programs. While admissions are available for graduate programs such the MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MCA, LLM, MMC, and M.PEd.
There is no admission test, and UG applicants are typically awarded merit-based admissions. Candidates who want to be admitted to undergrad programs must have a minimum average score of 50%.
There is no entrance test, however students must have a UG degree and merit is the primary qualification standard for each of the PG degree programs.

HPU Distance Learning U.G. Admission

HPU Distance Admission to BA

The three-year Bachelor of Arts program is evenly divided into six semesters. Students must have an intermediate passing certificate from any reputable board with a minimum grade of 50% in order to be admitted to this programme.
HPU Distance Learning P.G. Admission
Several PG courses are available through HPU Distance Education during the academic year 2023–2024. The PG course takes two years to complete. The courses include MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, and others.
Bachelor’s degree in any field, with a concentration in Hindi, English, Sanskrit, or Economics, is required for admission to the MA program.
50% in BCom or BSc is required for admission to the MCom program.
Graduation in any discipline is required for admission to an MBA program.
Admission to the MBA program at HPU
A Master of Business Administration is one of the many post-graduates distance learning degrees offered by Himachal Pradesh University. Every year, a large number of students apply to HPU’s distance MBA program for admission. Students who want to enroll must have graduated from an accredited Indian institution in any stream with at least 50% of the required grades. The cost of the distance MBA program at HPU is INR 20,100 per year.
