MBA and PhD admissions at EIILM University are dependent on the results of prerequisite exams. Exams from the CAT, ATMA, MAT, EMAT, and VU-MAT must be passed by MBA students, and the Research Eligibility Test (RET) is necessary for admission to the Ph.D. program.
For other categories, the EIILM entrance has a reserve policy. In the admissions process for 2023–2024, Sikkim students are given a 20% reservation, and spaces are also set aside for the Paramilitary and Indian Armed Forces.
